When winter comes, I like to daydream about having a mountain house. Truth be told, it is very unlikely that we will ever have a mountain house; no one in my family is a particularly good skier and we are not motivated to spend 4+ hours to get to the the snow, only to turn around and spend 4+ hours driving home less than 48 hours later. But, I have romanticized the notion of a mountain house for a number of years and one particularly fun part of the fantasy is imagining the decor. The image above would do nicely.
If we were to ever have a mountain house, there would be very little budget let for decor. So, I set out to recreate a “high vs. low” version of this room. Here is what I found.
