Featured Item: Restoration Hardware Sconces

We have a pair of beautiful, in-the-box, Restoration Hardware sconces for sale on the site this week. At $100 for the pair, they are a steal.

We are lucky to have two gorgeous, hand-painted vases for sale on the website right now. The workmanship is beautiful and they would work well in a number of places – perhaps on a mantle over a fireplace, behind the sofa on a console table, or in a dining room as the centerpieces on a long, rectangular table. We especially love the idea of displaying them in the foyer on the ends of a console table with a couple of stools tucked underneath. Here is what we would use to complete the look.

If you are thinking of remodeling your bathroom, start with this gorgeous brushed nickel sconce. (You can get a matching sconce here if you would like to flank a mirror.) Here is what we would add for a quick bathroom face lift. If you are a DIY-er, it might be a fun weekend project (sans tile replacement, of course). In any event, it is definitely something a good handyman could handle.

Our Favorite Ikea Hacks

We recently moved into a new home and discovered that the furniture from our old house doesn’t quite fit. Our new place is a little bigger and there are a number of places where we could use a new piece of furniture. Unfortunately, we do not have an unlimited furniture budget. So, I have found myself looking for very economical solutions. Some of the best solutions I have found are DIY IKEA hacks. There is no doubt that IKEA’s products are budget friendly. And, while I love clean lines, I sometimes find IKEA’s products to be a little plain. I have found, however, that through a little customization I can get exactly what I am looking for at a price that I can live with. Here are some of my favorite ideas.

We love this crib because it is versatile enough to be used for boys and girls. What does that mean? If you are planning to have more than one child and you start with this crib, you don’t have to buy two cribs. For those of you without children, you may be reading this and thinking “blah, blah, blah.” But, for those of you out there who are currently thinking of purchasing a second (or third) crib, I am willing to bet that you wish you had gone with a more gender neutral option the first time around. So, to help you get inspired about your nursery design, here are the neutrals that we would match with this Argington crib.
