Weekend Inspiration: Creature Comforts

The rain this week got me thinking about cozy, comforting activities for the weekend.  My weather app tells me that we may see more rain on Saturday, so I can’t think of a better reason to have a glass of wine, and maybe a little chocolate, in front of a roaring fire.   Lucky for us, we can do all three without leaving San Francisco.
At Fort Mason, start with the Fall Chocolate Salon (10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Saturday only, in The Fort Mason Center).  The list of participants looks mouth-watering.  Then, roll on over to the SF Vintners Market – Harvest Hoopla, in the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion (Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 p.m.), where you can try and buy wine from up to 200 wineries.  In the evening, if you are feeling up for it after what promises to be an afternoon of overindulgence, cozy up at one of the ten best bars with fireplaces on the list that SFist.com was kind enough to put together.
I am not sure if I will manage to do all three of these activities, but I am going to give it my best shot.
